Maya Fluss

Maya Fluss is an artist whose roots lie
in the Alps (Italy) and the Andes (Peru).

She is drawn to how artifacts can transform
from functional tools into carriers of relational,
          ecological, and embodied knowledge.
She explores how these processes can be
harnessed for storytelling, focusing on materials
such as metal and textiles, combined with body
movement and performance as vehicles to
          challenge dominant patriarchal narratives.

After graduating from Design Academy Eindhoven
she is currently expanding her studies in sexual
pedagogy, with a focus on queer sex education.
She integrates this into her artistic practice,
          understanding sex education methodologies as
tools for care, embodied learning, and relational
awareness. In this context, she also recognizes
the potential for artistic practice to function as
          an alternative educational space.
